14e cosmetics has you covered

Every now and then on my journey of discovery through this big wide world of green beauty, I stumble upon a quiet achiever. I'd like to introduce you to 14e cosmetics, a small brand from San Diego, which offers two base products, Aloe Nourish Sheer Tint and Aloe Nourish Foundation. Both have very quickly climbed up to the top of my favourites list. The product range might be minimal but what they lack in numbers, 14e cosmetics make up for in quality and integrity of ingredients.

The ingredients are so skin friendly that you could be forgiven for thinking these products are impostors, skincare posing as makeup. Using aloe vera as a base is genius as it is full of anti-oxidants, anti-inflammatory and hydrating properties. It's good for addressing a number of skin problems including sunburn, acne, skin irritations, itching and blistering. When paired with ingredients such as jojoba oil, gotu kola, kokum butter and acerola, it results in a nourishing concoction, which can help with early signs of ageing and moisture retention.

The Aloe Nourish Sheer Tint, as the name would suggest, provides a sheer to light finish that evens out your skin with a gentle wash of colour. It is creamy and incredibly easy to blend into the skin with your fingers, perfect for those who enjoy a simple, no fuss routine. You can build up the coverage by adding a second layer and for an effortless "no-makeup" look, pair it with a little cream blush, a coat of mascara and a tinted lip balm.

The Aloe Nourish Foundation contains similar ingredients to the Sheer Tint but the formula is slightly thicker, providing a light to medium coverage, which can be built up to a seamless finish. I call this my lazy girl foundation because it requires minimal effort and blending yet the results are outstanding. I apply it with my fingers and then finish off with a makeup sponge. I have been reaching for it on work days and it never fails to deliver a satin, glowy and perfected complexion which lasts all day. It's not cakey, drying and it melts into the skin beautifully. I love to pair this with the Vapour Organic Beauty Stratus Soft Focus Skin Perfecting Primer for some added glow.

There are 7 shades available which are the same across both products and the online shade guide is very accurate. I love that 14e cosmetics have created two base products which perform so well not only to perfect the skin but provide it with nourishment and long term benefits. I'm very excited to see what they have in store for the future of their brand.
