Our Story
YÜLI was born from an idea that began when a group of friends shared an ambitious dream of launching a revolutionary line of highly effective products of uncompromising quality. As skincare enthusiasts from demanding corporate professions, they designed their products to address the importance of providing dependable and reliable high-performance skincare that would allow modern consumers to put their best face forward. To accomplish this goal, they focused on integrity: sustainable production, fresh bioactive ingredients of the most exceptional high-grade purity, and the latest cutting-edge green biotechnology. Today, that dream continues to grow and the core team now consists of chemists, nutritional scientists, and former investment bankers and management consultants whose combined talents continue to drive this unique and ever growing line of innovative, intelligently designed products for the modern consumer.
About Yun
Yun is the one of the co-founders of YÜLI. Every day she leads a team of biochemists and skincare experts in meticulously researching and developing each detail of every product. She is a chemist by profession with degrees in Chemistry and Natural Sciences. Yun comes from a long line of traditional medicine practitioners and has applied her knowledge of ancient remedies with her modern scientific knowledge to formulate truly effective, high performance, nontoxic skincare.
Yun’s passion in skincare stems from her own affliction with severe acne and troubled skin. Since her early teens, she has battled unrelenting break outs, cystic acne, severe scarring, irritation, and stress damage that left her searching far and wide for something that would work. Drugstore products were ineffective at best and exacerbated her problems at worst. Dermatologists prescribed rounds of antibiotics, injections, and retinoid creams that only offered temporary relief, never addressing the root causes. Following two grueling rounds of Accutane that wreaked havoc on her body and sidetracked her modeling career in New York City, Yun became determined to personally develop the products she had been searching for by studying skin and health, and enrolling in school, where she went on to receive dual degrees in Natural Sciences and Chemistry.
Yun studied and worked with botanists, herbalists, chemists, aromatherapists, and holistic health practitioners to advance her understanding of botanical ingredients and their effect on skin health. Throughout the years, Yun has lent her expertise of skin science and dermatology to mass market and niche skincare brands. These experiences advanced her grasp of cutting-edge skin technology and gave her access to some of the rarest, highest grade botanical ingredients. From there she developed benchmarks in formulating the best ways to express and deliver the beneficial effects of raw ingredients. She realized there was an absence of cleanly formulated lines that embraced green technology and began developing these products herself. Soon her friends began to rely upon her to make products for them which quickly replaced their previous products because they realized what Yun made was truly remarkable: dependable, luxurious high-performance products made without any toxic ingredients that delivered results that were simply unparalleled. These were the beginnings of YÜLI.

Key Product Philosophy:
- Clean Efficiency: Products are formulated for optimized efficacy. Each ingredient is purposefully chosen in the optimum concentration and treatment to work in synergy together and provide your skin with the ultimate treat. We don’t believe in putting in anything that doesn’t directly help your skin. Even the wonderfully fresh scents in our products are just a byproduct of the beautifully composed blend of exquisitely high-quality ingredients chosen for their skincare benefits.
- Ingredient grade: Products must be formulated with ingredients that are safe enough for consumption. If you can’t eat it, why put it on your skin? Our ingredients are sourced from our own land or through exclusive partnerships with sustainable organic and wild-crafted farms. We foster close relationships with the farms and initiatives we work with to ensure only the purest, freshest ingredients are used.
- Bioavailability- Natural over Synthetic: Naturally derived nutrients provide the highest potency and the highest level of absorption without the negative side-effects and irritation synthetically derived nutrients can provide. In this regard, our products are made from organic or wild-crafted ingredients that are bio-dynamically grown without chemicals or pesticides in sustainable environments. Our ingredients are handpicked at their peak of ripeness where they are most bioactive so that their nutrients and energy are the most abundant.
- Safe and Effective Natural Ingredients: YÜLI uses safe, all-natural ingredients because these are best for obtaining long-term health for the body and skin. However, not everything in nature is safe, and YÜLI carefully researches and tests each product before they are finalized for the market. For instance, YÜLI does not formulate any facial products with citrus or bergamot essential oils because they cause increased sensitivity to UV light which can lead to hyperpigmentation. Furthermore we steer away from wheat/gluten derivatives and other natural ingredients shown to cause skin irritation. We have stringent ingredient standards even for a natural products company.
- Attention to details from conception to your beauty counter: We make the conscious decision to produce our products in a manner that doesn’t damage or sacrifice the bio-availability and nutrient content of our ingredients. Our products are free of synthetics, fillers, and chemicals that are detrimental for the immediate and long-term health of skin. Even our extraction and distillation process is ensured to not incorporate the use of any chemical solvents or toxins. We produce all of our products in-house in small batches in our lab located right on our farm using lean production methods so the bottle you order is always at its most potent. The potency of the product is further ensured by our UV-deterrent bottles that protect the integrity of the formula.
